Hooray for May at SHOP!

*something irreverent to begin*. Great, now that's out of the way, here's some stuff about stuff happening in May...

We are very, VERY excited about The Bristol Festival of PhotographyWe, along with some of our Christmas Steps Arts Quarter neighbours, are organising the area's photography 'Night of the Year' as part of the festival.  The event, similar to the same event two years ago which some of you may remember, is a parade of projections and photography on the Christmas Steps. There will an outdoor cinema and Bristol Cider Shop are providing a bar!

So be sure to put the evening of the 12th of May in your diary and join us on the Steps for photography-based fun!

WE NEED YOUR SHOTS!  We are still collating images of the Steps to project from SHOP onto the surrounding buildings, so if you have any of your own snaps of the Steps or surrounding area and would like to see them writ large, bung them our way at hello@shoptheshop.co.uk or just drop them in.

Don't forget that SHOP can be yours, all yours, for as little as a £10 donation to the Social Enterprise!  The SHOP Arts Space is suitable for a variety of purposes, some events this year (aside from exhibitions) have included: a photography workshop, a dating agency event, meetings, a pop-up cafe, a photo-shoot and a couple of private parties!

Get in touch for more info, or download a form here

Don't be bashful!

Just a little reminder, that you can always keep up to date with SHOP activities on this blog and via Twitter, but don't make a habit of it, because to be honest you really should get out more.
