Exhibition: Blurred Vision/Cosmic Vision

This week in the Arts Space we've been suffering from blurred vision and have been feeling cosmic maaaann! No, we haven't been on the hash cakes from a baking workshop, we've had Sarah Jeffs' and Nik Gornall's photography show gracing the walls.

BUY NOTHING DAY!

SHOP will be closed tomorrow, 4th December, for our 6th annual Buy Nowt Day, in support of an Adbusters campaign to discourage over-consumption.  It primarily means boycotting the man, but we like to support it in our own unique way ... by having a day off!

The actual day varies, depending on where you are in the world, but the general idea is just to ask yourself, do you really need those elephant shaped ear-muffs?

CHRISTMAS ARTISAN MARKET: PICS!

This Saturday saw SHOP's 4th annual Christmas Artisan Market take place on the Christmas Steps and, without a doubt, it was the biggest yet, and we think also the best!

The rain stayed away and the sun shone in a blue sky above the Artisan's stalls that were packed onto the Steps with an array af fabulous handmade goods.

For added Christmassyness, the Christmas Steps lights twinkled above the market and there were roast chestnuts and Christmas tunes courtesy of Eddy Desenne and Pip's Jukebox.
